Dear Beauté HIMAWARI Treatment Mask
A hair treatment I almost didn't include until I tested it against three more expensive ones, including the Fino. It outperformed all of them on coarse, frizz-prone, or chemically-treated hair. Sunflower-derived oils are the active here, and they handle heavy textures more competently than most Western "hair oils" twice the price.
The Japanese hair mask people import in their suitcases. Now sold here at retail.
An oil-rich weekly hair mask by Kracie under the Dear Beauté Himawari line. Premium sunflower oil EX is the lead active — chosen specifically because the molecular structure mimics human sebum and penetrates the hair cuticle without coating it.
This is the mask for the curl pattern problem most J-beauty hair masks ignore. The Fino mask is the all-rounder. This one is heavier, richer, designed for hair that's been through chemical processing — keratin treatments, color, or both. The Himawari line has a cult following in Japanese drugstores for exactly this reason.
For: very dry, frizzy, curly, or chemically processed hair. Hair that's been color-treated multiple times. Weekly use. Not for: fine, oily, or already well-balanced hair — it'll feel too heavy.
How to use: After shampooing, squeeze excess water from hair. Apply generously through lengths and ends. Leave on for 10 minutes — longer is fine. Rinse thoroughly. Once a week, or every other week for less damaged hair.
Delivery time: 1-2 business days.
